Back in the early 2000’s, I saw a beautiful bed frame in an art gallery that was too expensive to buy, so I made my own. I had to take a semester of welding, then with that knowledge worked with my dad to craft this full-size frame. It’s made of hollow steel rods, and upcycled iron bed rails and components. The welds done were MIG and TIG, and tools used were a tube bender, vice, chipping hammer, hammer, anvil, and grinder. After building, I primed it, painted it silver, then a texture paint, then a top coat.
